October half term may seem ages away but how good would it feel to have guilt-free, 5-star rated childcare plans sorted soon? Our summer camps have been a huge success and we are already so excited for our spooktacular week of holiday camps celebrating the awesomeness of autumn!
The String Club holiday camps for October are online and ready to be booked, so give yourself the gift of feeling pleasingly organised and secure a joyful week of music-themed fun now.
Our week-long extravaganza is packed with an array of exciting workshops that promise to delight and educate young minds. From rubber ducks to masked parades, there's something for everyone to enjoy. 👻
Our October holiday camps celebrate many great things associated with autumn through engaging, interactive, screen-free activities including:
🍂 Vivaldi: As we listen to ‘Autumn’ from The Four Seasons, we’ll be bringing the sounds, colours and smells of autumn to life using the autumnal world around us.
🕯️Diwali: We will learn all about the traditional melodies used in Indian classical music that are a key part of Diwali festivities. We will explore how these melodies are played on Indian string instruments like the Sitar and the Veena.
🎻 Black History Month: Let’s celebrate Black artists who have achieved amazing things, such as the incredible British cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason.
🎷 Mardi Gras Jazz Jam: We will discover the iconic jazz music of New Orleans through an exploration of Mardi Gras. We’ll find out how articulation shapes the sounds and feelings of jazz through storytelling.
💀 Dia de los Muertos: Do you love to sing and dance to the songs from Coco? Then this workshop is for you! Join us as we host our own Dia de los Muertos celebration with singing, dancing, drama and crafts.
Check out the full weekly timetable for both our 4-7s and 8-11s Holiday Camps. Lucy Hoy, our Activities Manager, creates bespoke activities that are designed for both learning and fun. She's a qualified teacher currently studying for a PhD in Education and she is passionate about creating amazing workshops that celebrate music, movemeent and art for The Strings Club. You can learn more about Lucy by reading a recent interview on our blog page.
Alongside our carefully-created workshops are our ukulele, guitar or violin lessons - led by the UK's top string teachers. 🎶
Don't miss out on our Grand End of Holiday Camp Concert either! The perfect ending to a truly memorable week. But don't just take our word for it, we have hundreds of 5-star rated reviews from parents who say their kids loved attending The Strings Club camps and many return for more, year after year! ⭐
We were thrilled to get this 5-star review from a parent whose child attended one of our summer holiday camps: "My son had a wonderful time at The Strings Club; his curiosity for music has grown, he's made new friends and he can't wait to go back!"
All our staff have SEN training and we are proud of the feedback we receive from parents of children with special education needs, such as this London mum who wrote to us after her son attended summer camp:
"We are delighted with how well he managed at your club yesterday. Thank you for being willing to listen about what makes a difference and acting on it. Not all summer clubs are able to make activities inclusive of neurodivergent children and give them an opportunity to shine. He is very much looking forward to joining you again tomorrow."
🎃 Hopefully this preview has conjured up some excitement for fall and all the fun that we'll be having at The Strings Club holiday camps. Get your spot saved today!
See you in October. 🍁🤗
