This October half term, from 25th October to 2nd November, London Zoo’s “Boo at the Zoo” is back! Families can enjoy pumpkin painting, marshmallow toasting, Halloween crafts and spooky animal talks — all included with zoo entry. Tickets start from £27 for adults and £18.90 for children when booked online in advance.
Wonderlab is the ultimate indoor destination for curious kids, with live experiments, interactive exhibits and hands-on science in action. Open every day from 10am–6pm, it’s ideal for a full day of discovery. Especially if the weather turns! Entry starts from £9 for children, £11 for adults, and under-3s go free. Or explore their new exhibit 'Space' for those more interested in the planets. If this is a real interest for your family the science museum are also running a 3D 60 minute experience at IMAX: The Ronson Theatre for £12 called 'A Beautiful Planet 3D'. The perfect entertainment for inquisitive kids.
Head over to Morden Hall park on the 28th or 29th for some pumpkin carving fun! They provide all the tools needed, clean up the mess and provide a pumpkin for £6 plus general admission to the park. Enjoy the autumnal nature, visit the rose garden and wetland habitats or use up the rest of that half-term energy in the natural play area before or after pumpkin carving to make the most of the day.
Moored in the heart of London, HMS Belfast offers families the chance to explore nine decks of fascinating naval history. Kids can clamber through engine rooms, sit in the captain’s chair, and discover what life was like aboard this iconic warship. With interactive exhibits and plenty to touch, see and imagine, it’s a brilliant mix of history and hands-on adventure. Great for curious minds and future explorers! From the 25th October to 30th November there's an exciting new trail that teaches families how ships used flag signals to talk to each other plus the chance for families to create their own flags that represent them. This is 'Activity Hub: Signals At Sea'.
From 26th - 31st October, Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery in Ealing is hosting a week of creative family fun inspired by their Sir Howard Hodgkin exhibition. Events include Magic Box Halloween storytelling, print‑making drop‑in , Halloween‑themed workshops and Mini Makers Messy Play.
Tickets are included in general admission (meaning you pay the usual Manor & Gallery entry; children go free with a paying adult).
