Hop aboard at Sherborne Wharf for a fun-filled Halloween adventure for the kids. There is a myriad of Halloween themed activities to keep the kids entertained including face-painting, colouring and games all against the backdrop of the canal. Book ahead to secure a place on this spooky ship, which has four slots a day between 25th October - 1st November.
Open daily until 2nd November, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery invites families to journey through time. Tickets are affordable, children up to 15 go free and adult tickets are £15.50. There are hands-on activities, immersive projections, life sized reconstructions of dinosaurs and real fossils to learn about. Pique your child’s curiosity about the distant past with this day out.
On the 27th October head to the Old Rep Theatre for a live performance including ghoulish sing-alongs and games from a children's theatre troupe. Fancy dress is encouraged, so if you're looking for some festive fun the McDougalls have you covered!
Tucked away near Cannon Hill Park, the Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park is home to a range of small and endangered animals, from red pandas to lemurs, reptiles to meerkats. It's perfect for younger children, offering just the right size for a half-day adventure without overwhelming little legs.
Entry during October is great value. Tickets start from £4.40 for children (3–15 yrs) and £8.90 for adults, with under-3s going free.
