Following the success of our Summer Holiday Camps, we are rolling smoothly on a high into Autumn, bringing plenty of magic, light and celebration to our October Half Term Holiday Camps.

The theme of the week will be: Autumnal Celebrations.

Each afternoon workshop works alongside our exclusive “Your Child’s Development is Key” Guide and is designed to enhance your child in more ways than one, nurturing musical skills such as aural and listening ability, along with our personal skills as concentration, teamwork, making friends and physical and emotional well-being.

Here are our top 5 picks:

Diwali – Mon 26th October

There is no time to shiver and frown, it’s time to get active, keep warm and turn that frown upside down. In a cooler and darker season what better way to celebrate than Diwali, the festival of light. This wonderful South Asian festival promises plenty of sensory delights. The children will get the opportunity to choose from a range of activities including, creating a large Rangoli collage, Diwali themed sports activities and many more surprises in store.

Vivaldi – Tue 27th October

Based on the popular film “Inside Out”, this workshop will take your child to the most extraordinary location of all – inside their mind! We will be turning each child into different emotions and getting them to act out as their characters. This is a fantastic way to boost your child’s confidence and to broaden their vocabulary of words and images!

Black British Celebrations – Wed 28th October

We believe it is so important to celebrate those who have not only paved the way for a better and brighter future, but it’s also great to acknowledge those who have achieved and made great contributions. In this celebratory session the children will have the opportunity to learn about Malorie Blackman (Children’s Laureate from 2013 to 2015), Sheku Kanneh-Mason (British cellist who won the 2016 BBC Young Musician of the Year award) and we’ll even be crafting our way to carnival. Team work makes the dream work!

Mexican Day of the Dead – Thu 29th Oct

What better way to celebrate our loved ones, as we go on a magical journey to the afterlife. The children will have the opportunity to learn about this sacred Mexican holiday through singing, dancing, drama and arts and crafts. We will be resurrecting the 2017 Disney fantasy film Coco to bring this afternoon’s activities to life. This will be an afternoon to treasure for a lifetime.

Halloween Dress Up Day – Fri 30th Oct

Our October Half Term Holiday Camp would not be complete without a a few workshops on Halloween. We start off our afternoon with a Big Sing Song where children will have a go at singing a range of songs to get them in a spooky mood! Expect singing and dancing galore!
