It’s the best summer ever! We’re so excited! We’ve got an incredible schedule of activities over the 6 weeks. Here’s what to expect in week 2.
Inventors and Animals. Why have one theme when you can have TWO! If you’re the inquisitive and imaginative type of character or an animal lover (maybe you’re both) – we’ve got a brilliant week of both lined up for you at The Strings Club Summer Holiday Camp. This week will be packed full of animated musical animal adventures and inventions as we delve into Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf as well as learning about child prodigy Saint-Saëns, who believe it or not composed his first piece at the age of 3! This will be your chance to shine and share your creative flare for the whole world to see. ”
Pick of the week: Be the conductor and invent your own instrument, Thursday 24th
Music in Motion
After an introduction to Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf we will delve even further by focusing on the role of the conductor! Everyone will have the chance at waving the baton to different parts of the music. A perfect workshop to develop not only your child’s coordination and physical skills but also their understanding of musical concepts.
Having learnt all about famous inventors and how their most popular items came about, it’s time for your child to create their own invention – a twist on an already exisiting instrument! Your child will use different arts and crafts materials to design, create, and take home their very own instrument. Let’s see their innate creativity kick in!
