Summer fun starts tomorrow and we are very pleased and excited to announce the themes for what is set to be the best summer of Holiday Camps ever!
Each week at a Holiday Camp with The Strings Club has its own special theme, ensuring that no day is ever the same for your child. Each morning includes our popular “Learn Together, Play Together” sessions whilst our afternoons include a range of workshops, carefully-created to inspire your child right up until pick up time! Over the summer holidays we are treated to six amazing themes in one huge unmissable event – a summer spectacular!
Here are the best 6 themes we’ve ever had! Drum roll please!!
Week 1 – 23rd to 27th July
At The Strings Club, we are passionate about making music enjoyable and accessible to everyone – that’s why for our Week 1 of our Summer Holiday Camps, we are introducing your child to music from around the world! From African chant music, Bhangra music to Japan, the land of the rising sun, we will be taking your child on a highly-exciting musical adventure.
Inventors & Animals
Week 2 – 30th July to 3rd August
Our “Inventors & Animals” week consists of super exciting workshops ranging from Camille Saint-Saëns’ “The Carnival of the Animals” to some of the inventions that changed the world and the way we live. We’ll even be exploring how our wonderful string instruments came into the world!
Fairies & Dragons
Week 3 – 6th to 10th August
This week is all about fairies and dragons! Our infamous ‘Meet The Composer’ workshop will focus on Felix Mendelssohn and we shall be exploring one of his most well-known orchestral works, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, identifying the connection between the musical elements and the characters depicted.
Fantasy & Adventure
Week 4 – 13th to 17th August
This week’s workshops are fully inspired by imaginary lands with strange beasts, wizards & witches and pirates & mermaids – based on magical & mysterious stories from “Into The Woods” to “Harry Potter”.
Week 5 – 20th to 24th August
Who doesn’t love a little bit of Disney-themed activities? From Disney-themed bingo to “Pirates Of The Caribbean” treasure hunt, we promise this week will be one to remember!
Week 6 – 28th to 31st August
From Adele to David Bowie, this week is all about celebrating the greatest musical heroes whose powerful influence has inspired many. This will surely be a wonderful experience for your child as we sing our heart out to Jackson 5’s “ABC” and create our own instruments to rock out to Queen’s “We Will Rock You”!
What enables our multi award-winning Holiday Camps to stand apart from the rest is our passion for your child’s development. So you can be rest assured that they are having the very best of times in a safe, rewarding and nurturing environment. You can book with us for half a day to the whole summer holiday experience!
