My Neighbour Totoro at the Barbican

Step into the world of My Neighbour Totoro, with live music bringing this much-loved story of childhood and imagination to life.

It’s also part of Kids Week, running across London from 20 July–31 August, where children under 17 can attend participating shows for free with a full-price adult ticket.

King’s Cross Summer Sounds

13–23 August 2026

A free 10-day celebration of music, with everything from jazz to indie rock, plus dance performances and family-friendly Family Sundays.

Riverside Sessions

16 July–30 August 2026

Head to the Southbank Centre for a summer programme of free performances created by young people and youth collectives. Under 12s must be accompanied by an adult. 

Family highlights include the Kinetika Bloco Summer Showcase and ZooNation: Hip-Hop Showcase for All Ages.

28–30 August 2026

A family-friendly music festival at Ragley Hall, with live music, crafts, paddleboarding and plenty to keep everyone entertained.

This year’s line-up includes Sigala and an ABBA tribute band.

A free festival taking over Birmingham city centre over the August Bank Holiday, with live music, DJs, dance, face painting and crafts.

Candlelight Concerts

For moments of calm, Candlelight Concerts at St Paul’s Church offer a beautiful introduction to live classical music, with performances inspired by artists including Fleetwood Mac and Michael Jackson.
