Children's Holiday Camps: Helping Children Build Confidence Before September

Children's Holiday Camps: Helping Children Build Confidence Before September

The summer holidays can feel long, but suddenly September is just around the corner. Children's holiday camps can be a lovely way to give children positive experiences before the new school year begins.

The last few weeks of summer can be a lovely time to give children opportunities to try something new, make friendships, learn new skills and discover what they can do.

That’s where The Strings Club Holiday Camps come in.

Our award-winning, 5★ rated Holiday Camps for children aged 4–11 combine the joys and benefits of music with creative, interactive and screen-free experiences, giving children opportunities to learn, create, connect and grow.

🎻 Small wins can make a big difference

Learning a new song. Playing an instrument for the first time. Completing a creative project. Joining in with a group game.

Holiday Camps can be full of little moments where children think: “I did that.”

These small achievements can help children feel proud of themselves and more willing to have a go at something new.

💛 Finding your people

Starting somewhere new can feel easier when you know you can make friends.

At The Strings Club, children have plenty of opportunities to connect with others through small-group activities, ice breakers and games.

As Activities Manager Lucy Hoy explains:

“Most of the workshops are small group based, so the children can get to know a smaller group within the camp during the session, but then at the end of the workshop they come together. This can support building their confidence within the group.”

It gives children the space to get to know others at their own pace, while gradually feeling more comfortable being part of the wider group.

And sometimes, a new friendship made during the summer can be the lovely thing a child carries with them into September.

🎨 Space to be themselves

Not every child finds confidence in the same way.

That’s why our Holiday Camps include music, creativity, games and opportunities for self-expression. Children can discover new interests, explore their ideas and find something that feels like their thing.

🎻 Music brings children together

Music gives children a chance to listen, participate, express themselves and create something together.

Whether they’re learning guitar, violin or ukulele, children experience the joys and benefits of music alongside others, building skills while becoming part of a group.

🌱 A summer full of little moments

Throughout Holiday Camp there are opportunities to learn something new, complete a project, solve a challenge, join in with others or simply try something they haven't done before.

These moments might seem small, but together they can help children discover: “I can do this.”

💛 And the reviews are in...

Confidence is one of the things parents regularly mention when they tell us about their child’s experience at The Strings Club Holiday Camps.

We’re proud to have over 500 verified 5★ reviews, and 98% 4 and 5★ rated experiences this summer so far, with parents sharing how their children have made new friends, tried new things and, in some cases, really come out of their shells.

Getting ready for September doesn’t have to mean getting the school shoes out just yet. Sometimes, it’s about giving children a chance to try new things, make friends and feel good about what they can do.

And perhaps walk into September feeling a little taller. 💛

The Strings Club Holiday Camps are for children aged 4–11 and run across London, Birmingham and Warwickshire.
