We're feeling super proud of founder and director Amy who has been nominated for such the prestigious "Industry Champion of the Year" award as part of the What's on 4 Kids Awards 2022.

Amy states, "I am over the moon to have been nominated for such an amazing award. The Strings Club would not be the success it is without everyone who works with us to ensure our events are the very best! So from our delivery drivers Mo and Mohammed who transport our equipment to our venues to my amazing HQ team, Pete and Courtney to our wonderful database of over a hundred childcare practitioners and string teachers. This award recognition is for you."

We feel our TRUE purpose really came into its own over the pandemic.

Head back to 2020 and the first lock down and we established a range of online lessons for children within a few days. We knew that both children and their grown ups still needed music in their lives - even more so in fact.

From Peckham to Barcelona to the Highlands, we welcomed almost a hundred children a day via our daily lessons including Guitar, Ukulele, Violin and General Music Club. Hats off to our amazing teachers!

Alongside continuing to operate our Holiday Camps to key workers and families in ten venues across London and Birmingham, we also created an Online Holiday Camp that inspired children whilst at home. It was a real hit! Why?

➡️Encouraged children to socialise and make new friends

➡️Playing music and music in general has proven benefits on wellbeing and overall happiness!

➡️Supported tired and busy parents with some well-deserved time to breathe/work

What is the "Steve Franks Industry Champion" award?

The "Steve Franks Industry Champion" award is an award for someone who has gone above and beyond for the greater good and whose contribution impacted the broader sector/community rather than their business solely.

In memory of Steve Franks who contributed so significantly to the children's activities sector.  Steve sadly passed away in April 2020 from COVID-19 complications.  Steve's legacy lives on through many initiatives to improve the lives of children across the UK and our thoughts remain with his family, friends and colleagues. This award is judged by committee and includes Alison Franks and CAA representation

We've also been nominated for two other awards and would greatly appreciate if you could vote for us below!
