Looking for fun and festive activities to do with the kids in London this holiday season? London is a sparkly wonderland of fantastical things to do with your little ones during the 2025 winter school break.

Here are 5 activities with kids to try in London as we finish out Fall term and enter a good stretch of school break...

(Be sure to check out The Strings Club's December Holiday Camp too of course!)

1. Shakespeare's Globe Theatre: Pinocchio the musical

Journey to a world of endless possibilities this festive season as Pinocchio comes to life in the iconic Globe Theatre for the premiere of a new musical, recommended for ages 5+. Performances until 4 Jan 2026. Create your very own world of endless possibilities in the Globe's accompanying Puppetry and Drama workshops for ages 5–11.

2. The Enchanted Cinema: The Snowman

The Enchanted Cinema is bringing their interactive cinema shows to the Horniman Museum. Children will help create the sound effects of 'The Snowman' using instruments from around the world, hands and voices - all teaming up to become a magical orchestra. The 30-minute workshop is followed by a 30-minute screening of this magical film. Recommended for kids aged 4-12. December 20 and 21st.

3. Visit Gingerbread City in King's Cross

Explore an entire city built from gingerbread, candy, and frosting - designed and built by architects and designers. A delight for all ages (but sorry kids you can't eat the city!). This experience was created by the Museum of Architecture a UK- based charity and cultural institution dedicated to finding new ways for the public to engage with architecture.

4. A Merry Misrule at Battersea Arts Centre

Immersive arts creators Wild Rumpus return with a new family adventure. Across Europe, mischievous Yuletide traditions have run riot and it’s up to YOU to save Winter from chaos. Guided by the rousing ‘Revolutionary Rabbit’, wander through enchanted lands and meet characters intent on causing disruption to the most wonderful time of the year. Can you join the mission to bring harmony back to the holidays? Recommended for ages 3+. On until 24 December.

5. Snoopy Sculpture Trail - Free City Fun

Snoopy has taken over the streets of the Fleet Street Quarter in the form of 12 unique sculptures, each artist-designed to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Charles M. Schulz’s beloved comic strip, Peanuts. Download the free map and stroll this area of the city together hunting down that clever beagle. You have until 16 January 2026 to complete the mission.
