You'll get to use the latest Santa detection technology to track down the jolly fellow, who will be giving all children a gift. Adults get mince pies and mulled wine onboard. Win win.
Sing favourite Christmas songs along with the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Choir at a family Christmas concert on 20 Dec. Plus, you can join in an hour of free craft activities before the concert! There are two family-friendly shows on at this independent theatre this holiday season. You will be sure to stay awake watching a big silly Sleeping Beauty panto and for the younger ones possibly not ready for a 2 hour + panto, Well Done, Mummy Penguin is a stage adaptation of the latest picture book from writer and illustrator Chris Haughton. This ode to family bonds and incredible parents everywhere features daring acrobatics, integrated sign language and humour. Both shows on until 3rd January.

This Festive Story Trail is a fun and informal outdoor activity, running throughout the school Christmas holidays – perfect for burning off all that excess energy! Mischievous elves have been playing in the grounds of Compton Verney. They’ve left some books for you to find, and a puzzle for you to solve. Unscramble the anagram to claim the prize! Purchase a trail map (£3.50), trail takes around 45 minutes for confident walkers.
