Sky rocket your child’s love of playing an instrument

Specially designed for children in Year 1-6, our Sound Start Term Time Course will nurture your child’s love of music and playing an instrument, develop their confidence and skills, and help them to fulfill their potential.

Through our unique understanding of teaching, learning and development, our Sound Start courses focus on six key learning objectives that tie in with the National Curriculum for Music and ensures that each lesson is balanced, versatile and most of all, inspires your child.

What’s Involved?

Our Sound Start Term Time Courses are progressive, running for 10 lessons each term. Each class is led by an experienced, friendly, DBS checked strings teacher carefully selected by our team.

Each Lesson

Presented in an interactive and fun-filled way, each lesson is carefully-crafted to ensure your child develops a real understanding of the “nuts and bolts” of music whilst nurturing musical skills such as aural and listening ability, technical proficiency, along with literacy and mathematical skills.

Each Term

Your child will learn new skills and be rewarded for their achievements through our special partnership with Music Medals, part of the Royal Schools of Music. You will be able to share in their achievements too as each 10-week term ends with a celebratory End of Term Concert for friends and family, giving your child the chance to proudly show what they have achieved.

Let’s Aim For Platinum

Your child will be able to continue right up to Year 6 where on completion of their final course they will achieve the equivalent of an A* at GCSE and Grade 4 with the Royal Schools of Music – an amazing and awe-inspiring achievement.
