Things to do with kids in half term in Birmingham

• Sandwell Valley Park

Head to Sandwell Valley Park for a great place to spend the day. Just 10 minutes walk from West Bromwich town centre, the park features a huge adventure playground suitable for 5-13 year olds, and a farmyard which is free to enter. There are plenty of trails for walks through the country park and cycle hire is available.

• Think Tank Science Museum Science Garden

This outdoor space is full of fun activities for the whole family and is free every day from 3pm. Take part in over 30 exciting exhibitions to spark the interests of our future engineers and mechanics!

• Cannon Hill Park. Nature reserve also on site- charges apply

Cannon Hill Park has two large play areas for free outdoor fun! It has been awarded Green Flag status for the last 10 years for being one of the best green spaces in the UK. Cannon Hill Park is also home to the MAC Centre, which features various arts exhibitions, galleries, theatre productions and workshops. Charges may apply for these. 

• The Birmingham Mystery Treasure Trail

This self-guided themed trail is a great way to discover new things about Birmingham. Hunt and solve the clues placed around the city for a different kind of adventure!

• The Donkey Sanctuary Birmingham

Meet the donkeys of Sutton Park! This sanctuary allows the donkeys to roam freely and depending on the time of your visit, you may be able to see them being groomed  or fed or just playing! Free booking & entry but donations are always welcome.
