New to us? Bring a friend for free

From experience we know that to get the best from any experience it helps a lot if a child is happy, settled, and feels at home.

It is difficult to put yourself out there. Doing something brand new is sometimes a bigger deal than a few words can give justice to. (Don’t think it goes unnoticed little people out there!)

Our amazing team always ensures every child feels welcome and provides the platform for them to gain confidence and make friends throughout the week, but for some younger children we understand the thought of the initial step through the door can be a bit too much.

We decided the best thing to do would be to invite your friends along too. For free!

BRING A FRIEND FOR FREE AT HALF TERM!

If you are new to The Strings Club and considering inspiring your child through music at Half Term you can bring along your child’s friend for free. If you have two children, bring two friends!

We know that everyone will have a wonderful time at Camp and hope that this offer will ensure that even the youngest and the most shy children get to experience our events and be inspired through music.

If you’d like to book or find out more give us a call on 0121 296 9204 or email info@thestringsclub.org.

This offer is limited by availability and on a first come first served basis.

Our Holiday Camps for children aged 4-11 are running from 18th February for 5 days with half days from £20. If you’d like to find out more take a look at our Holiday Camps page.

Over the course of the year children develop key musicianship skills such as rhythm, pitch, notation, dynamics alongside technical proficiency on their instrument.

You will receive a termly report on your child’s progress to keep you informed of their achievements.

Each term includes our Grand Concert – the perfect opportunity for your child to show what they have achieved with their new friends.

Your child can #LearnToPlay ukulele online

Learning to play an instrument is great fun. It’s exciting. It’s rewarding and inspiring. There is nothing like it!

However, many dusty instruments sat in bedrooms and attics will also bear testament that sometimes it can be tricky to master.

There are lots of things which need to be in place to ensure it goes well. It requires a supportive and positive learning environment to ensure all the energy from the student is nurtured and well directed.

WE’RE HERE TO HELP

Does your child show in interest in learning an instrument? Take a look at our YouTube channel, it’s a fun introduction to ukulele, guitar, violin and cello.

First up, here’s an introduction to the ukulele with the lovely Russ

Your 4 year old will grow in confidence with us

Do you have a 4 year old? Are they new to Holiday Camps? A little shy?

We’re set up to help all EYFS children boost confidence, learn skills and make friends at our multi award-winning Holiday Camps.

Earlier this year we were delighted to announce that all children aged 4 are able to attend for the whole day, 8am – 5.45pm.

Over the summer we had an influx of children in pre-school nursery aged 4 all at the start of their musical journey. We made lots of new friends and everyone had a wonderful time.

We are able to offer this at every Holiday Camp and next up is October Half Term!

Here’s why we are a great choice for pre-schoolers…

EYFS focused

Unlike other childcare providers we are fully Ofsted registered, which means we are working in partnership with Ofsted and their guidelines to deliver the highest quality EYFS focused childcare. Read more about what Ofsted registered means and the important ‘Moving On Up’ document for all 4 year olds.

Children flourish at our Holiday Camps

Your child will learn skills, make new friends, and build confidence each day they attend and every element of the day is designed to assist their development and help them fulfil their potential. Read more about our 4 key areas of development.

Help them settle – bring a friend for free

If you have a child aged 4 who has not started reception yet and you think they will enjoy the day more with some familiar company why not bring their best friend – for free! All you have to do is give us a call in the office on 0121 296 9204 with both child’s details and we will get them booked on. Simple as that.

Recommended listening – Christmas Edition!

Listening to music is not only enjoyable but is also beneficial in developing many skills including coordination and self-confidence that will continue to be useful for your child throughout their lives.

Every month, we are here to help you inspire your child with some season-appropriate classical pieces.

This month, The Strings Club Head Office team has gathered for you the a selection of the best festive pieces of music alongside some fun facts and links to YouTube and Spotify to get us all in the mood for the mood for Christmas!

The Nutcracker

Did you know that despite it’s huge fame now, the original ballet was a commercial flop?! But Tchaikovsky’s 20 minute ‘suite’ extracted from The Nutcracker was, and always has been, hugely popular, and it has become one of his most famous compositions. Have a listen to the Waltz of the Flowers on Spotify or on YouTube.

Carol of the Bells

This Christmas classic might ring a lot of bells for all you listeners. Is that because you are a Home Alone fan or a Metallica fan?! Composed by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych with lyrics from Peter J. Wilhousky, this song was originally a Ukranian folk chant but enjoys huge popularity appearing on films, TV shows and of course at major metal gigs across the world! Have a listen on Spotify and on YouTube.

Winter Wonderland

As if you weren’t feeling Christmassy enough already, here comes a giant of a Christmas tune. Written in 1934 Bernard (music) and. Smith (lyricist), it has been recorded by over 200 different artists. But we’re quite partial to the King of Cool, Dean Martin’s own rendition (with it being so cold out there it is probably more fitting too!). Have a listen on Spotify and on YouTube.
